I really like this! I have been searching for almost 7 years for the perfect Phoenix tattoo. My name is Raven and I named my son Phoenix. He will be 7 this year. I always wanted to name my first born 'Phoenix' but it ended up fitting him so perfectly because I only carried him for 24 weeks, we both almost died because my blood pressure was at stroke level. He was only 1 pound and 8 ozs. He was in the NICU for 3 months and he was just like a phoenix, rising from the ashes a number of times. Now he is a normal healthy 1st grader. I on the other hand lost both kidneys and have been on dialysis since 2006. I was going to get a transplant in 2009 (My Dad is a perfect match) but I found out I had breast cancer. So on top of dialysis every Mon, Wed & Fri (4 hrs each time) I was also on Chemo every Thursday (2 hrs each treatment) for 6 months. Now I have to go 5 years without any complications from the cancer/chemo before they will re-evaluate me for a transplant. I have also been looking for a tattoo that has "survivor" written across the breast cancer ribbon. Any ideas?

I'm glad you like it! You're welcome to get it tattooed on you if you like; as for the "survivor" design I haven't seen anything like that, but it would be relatively easy to do - really, what you need to decide is how you want it to look (what typeface, how it's positioned, etc.). I would ask a tattoo artist about it; they're the ones who'll commit the design to your skin so you could present the idea and see where they took it.

Now, I can do a design, but I do them on commission, and I don't know if that's something you're interested in pursuing.
